Welcome Auburn Entrepreneurial Technology Group Members. We had our kickoff meeting Fri February 15th, 2008. Professor Umphress is directing these meetings and will be notifying everyone of the next one.
About The Group
Please keep in mind that there are a few different types of participants in this group from technology and business experts to investors. Hopefully, this mix will create a sort of natural spectrum of members who find that their interests lie somewhere along the line between technical theory/abstraction and ROI & profit margins. The idea, in some respects, is to disburden each one of us so that we can free up our particular area of focus.
Food For Thought
Below is an Oct 2006 article which lists 20 companies that VCs have publicly stated that they will fund. Perhaps seeing concrete examples of what venture capitalists are willing to put money into will spark some ideas for us. Or perhaps once we better understand our strengths we could generate our own list by contacting VCs directly?
